YuMOVEMax Veterinary Strength Soft Chews contain molasses. The decision to use YuMOVEMax Veterinary Strength soft chews in dogs with diabetes mellitus needs to be a decision made by the attending veterinarian based on a risk vs. benefit analysis and where the patient’s condition can be monitored, as would be the case with any change to the diet of any dog with diabetes mellitus.

As regards whether you use a loading dose or not (twice maintenance for 4-6weeks), this is up to the clinical judgement of the veterinary surgeon/veterinarian. Loading may fast track any potential benefits for the joints.  For those patients where the YuMOVE Max Veterinary Strength soft chews are thought inappropriate, you can consider using YuMOVE Max Veterinary Strength cat, as there is no added molasses/sugar within the cat capsules.
